“Drabyna” is an International festival of the experimental, alternative, independent European theatre.

The main task of the festival is a discovery of new theatre forms. Contemporary drama is a special theme of discussion at the festival.

That is why its programme includes: literary theatre readings “The Fire Ladder”, drama works contest “Drama on the Ladder”, art projects “The Photo play” and “Video stage”, master classes, as well as new plays readings and professional discussions. The motto of the festival is “New generation. Time. Space. Own vision”.

It was the airport in Lviv, of all things, that first charmed me. Regional airports across the former Soviet Union tend to be a dreary lot, with all the appeal of a 24-hour bus station.
