Traditional St. Nicolas’s Day is one of the most popular holidays in Lviv.

It is a beginning of the New Year and Christmas Eve celebrations that start with the ceremony of placement a New Year tree in front of the Opera House and switching on street Christmas lights.

That is a favourite holiday of the little children who believe in miraculous power of St. Nicolas and wait for presents that day. Various performances, Christmas fairs, charity actions and concerts are held both for children and adults.

St. Nicolas the Miracle-Worker is waiting for you to bless, to amuse, to make presents and to amaze with miracles in the ancient Ukrainian city of Lviv.
