Annual International Children’s Art Festival “Friends’ World” is a special point of the Mother’s Day programme.
Folk music groups, Ukrainian traditional musical instruments bandura and sopilka (pipe) players, dance and vocal ensembles are among the festival participants.
The festival provides all children the opportunity to experience arts from around the globe and across the country, to share traditions and meet new friends.

It was the airport in Lviv, of all things, that first charmed me. Regional airports across the former Soviet Union tend to be a dreary lot, with all the appeal of a 24-hour bus station. But the one in Lviv, the largest city in western Ukraine, had wood paneling and ornate columns and the feel of a grand old railway station in a 1950s film.
