Lonely Planet wants to know Lviv better

The executive editor of Lonely Planet guide Mr. Marc Di Duca has visited Lviv with 3-days working visit this week. The stay of Lonely Planet editor was organized by Bureau of city promotion of Lviv City Council.

Lonely Planet is a world famous company that produces tourist guides about cities and countries since 1972. This guide is considered to be one of the world's best sources of travel information.

Marc Di Duca, executive editor of Lonely Planet guidebook about Ukraine, came to Lviv to update the information about the city and to add new tourist facilities that has appeared over the past few years.

"Lonely Planet’s specialty is that authors write only about places they’ve visited and seen with their own eyes. So, we’ve managed to visit and to see plenty of hotels, hostels, restaurants, museums and galleries during 3-days stay of Mr. Di Duca in the city.

Also, I hope that the new sightseeing, which the editor saw will be included in a new edition of the guide about Ukraine"- Mr. Yarema Dukh from Bureau of city promotion, says.

Third edition of Lonely Planet guidebook about Ukraine, which also includes a chapter about  Lviv, will be published in Spring of 2011.
