The end of the New Year doesn’t mean that all the fun automatically stops. On the contrary, January usually seems quite rich in interesting and conceptual events. Don’t know where to go for entertainment? Don’t worry, right now we’ll lift the veil of mystery a bit and share some cool events to attend in January in Lviv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charity Christmas Evening<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Christmas and New Year holidays are not only a time for fun, but also for good deeds. We must not forget that the war in Ukraine is ongoing, so everyone should make the maximum effort to help end it. There is a perfect opportunity for this \u2013 the Charity Christmas Evening. This is the perfect option for those who don’t know where to go in January in Lviv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is organized by the women veterans’ community “Women’s Veteran Movement”. They are raising funds for walkie-talkies for the 35th Marine Infantry Brigade named after Rear Admiral M. Ostrohradskyi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And what is this Charity Christmas Evening all about? Well, here’s a brief rundown of the event’s program:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.<\/strong> Lecture by Lorenzo De Vecchi – professor at the Dante Alighieri Lyceum (Trieste): “Renaissance and Neoclassicism in Venice and Trieste. Architectural parallels with Lviv”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2<\/strong>. Art auction of a painting by Oksana Lozynska<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.<\/strong> Christmas Vertep. “Artos” Choir of St. Clement Sheptytsky Church. Conductor Nataliia Ivashkiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.<\/strong> Festive treats<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All that is required from you is a voluntary donation at the entrance, and that’s it – now you are part of an extremely important cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mertvyi Piven Accompanied by String Orchestra<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“Mertvyi Piven” fans, are you there? If so, then get your money ready and run for tickets right now! On January 8th, a concert of this legendary band accompanied by a string orchestra will take place at the Lviv Opera. All fans of the band’s work will be able to hear their favorite compositions in a new sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nAt the concert of “Mertvyi Piven” they will perform the most lyrical songs from the early period of their creative work, which were rarely performed live: “Hieronymus Bosch XX,” “Dog,” “Castle,” “Do You Hear, My Dear,” “Grass,” “Faust’s Feast. Night.” Additionally, together with the master of folk singing, Uliana Horbachevska, the “roosters” will perform several new Christmas compositions. Of course, it won’t do without all-time favorites like “We Will Die Not in Paris,” “When You Laugh,” and other hits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disney Symphony in Lviv<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
