Acoustic concert-story of modern bandura player Anastasia Voytiuk

About the event:
- The concert-conversation will consist of three parts, the largest of which will be musical, during which you will hear Ukrainian folk songs from different regions of Ukraine (Lemkiv, Zakarpattia, songs from Lviv region, as well as Zhytomyr region, Poltava region and Vinnytsia region) in modern arrangements with bandura.
- The second part will be the presentation of Anastasia’s video clip “I’ll be back soon” to the words of Victoria Amelina, which tells the stories of the resettlement of 22 Ukrainian women and men and their families now and during and after World War II, combining the historical memory of generations and revealing stories that are often are kept quiet in our families.
- Anna Chernous, ethnomusicologist, co-founder of the NGO “Music Workshop “Hurba”, will also join the event, who will talk about the traditional musical heritage of Nadsyannia, where thousands of Ukrainians were forced to leave. Do not miss a unique opportunity to consciously immerse yourself in Ukrainian traditional music in modern arrangements and learn more about the history and traditions of singing in Ukraine.
