The exhibition “Enlightenment” by Olena Zherebetska will be opened in Lviv

Summer in the village with grandmother is one of the most valuable and warmest childhood memories for many. A huge trunk was of particular interest, whose contents could only be guessed. Artist Olena Zherebetska was also inspired by her grandmother’s trunk and created the exhibition of paintings “Enlightenment”. What they are about – read on.

Briefly about the exhibition “Enlightenment”

Olena Zherbetska said that the inspiration for creating the exhibition was the trunk of Kylina’s grandmother from the village of Kitaygorod in Vinnytsia, full of memorable and valuable things. In her paintings, you will find necklaces, embroidered shirts and authentic Ukrainian household items, which are related to memories of the artist’s grandmother’s stepfather and the period of Soviet occupation.

At the exhibition, you will see about 20 paintings that will certainly evoke memories of your childhood.

Who is Olena Zherebetska?

Olena Zherebetska is a Lviv artist and public figure. Mystkina works as a senior lecturer at the department of book and easel graphics at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing. In addition, Zherebetska is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and the Union of Designers of Ukraine, and also actively participates in charitable organizations.

The artist’s creative work includes numerous exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, in particular in Poland, France, the Czech Republic, Israel and Switzerland. Among the most notable are personal exhibitions in Lviv, Paris and Drohobych. Olena also participated in projects dedicated to Pinzel’s work at the National Museum in Lviv.

In 2023, Zherebetska became a laureate of the regional award named after Olena Kulchytska in the design nomination. She is actively engaged in charity work, managing the “Artist for a Child” project and participating in charity auctions in various cities.
