What will be shown at Petro Smetana’s exhibition?
The “Darkness” exhibition will feature new works by Petro Smetana that the world has not yet seen. These are abstract canvases of monumental formats. Interestingly, the first part of this exposition was presented in Kyiv at the “White World” gallery from October to November 2023.
Here is what the author of the exhibition says about his creation:
“Darkness is what remains after the bright flashes of light. Darkness slowly circles in the air and slowly falls, coloring everything with itself. Darkness as an inevitable and enforced phenomenon of our present. Darkness as soot from which everything began, as a primal prototype. And soot as a consequence of destruction. Darkness as a stage before birth…”
