Charity Carol with Kurbasy Band in Lviv
It’s that time of the year again when Christmas festivities are in full swing, and the number of exciting events to attend keeps growing. Therefore, we invite you to join a charity carol event featuring the Ukrainian band Kurbasy in Lviv. The event is scheduled for December 22nd at 7:00 PM.
Who are Kurbasy?
Kurbasy is a Ukrainian ethno-band that has been making music for over a decade. Its founders and members include actresses from the Les Kurbas Lviv Academic Theatre: Natalia Rybka-Parhomenko, Mariya Oneshchak, and Myroslava Rachynska.
What makes the band unique is its conceptual approach to performances. Drawing inspiration from Ukrainian folk music, the vocalists and musicians of Kurbasy combine their talents to create captivating music-theatrical shows that not only sound impressive but also leave a visual impact.
These performances are characterized not only by powerful vocal performances but also by the use of high-tech stage design and modern visual effects, such as video projections and holographic displays. Each show becomes a unique artistic experience, blending the traditions of Ukrainian culture with innovative technologies, creating a distinctive atmospheric presentation.
Briefly about the Charity Carol Event in Lviv
Attendees can look forward to a delightful evening filled with authentic Ukrainian carols performed by the Kurbasy band. In addition to the musical experience, the organizers have prepared something interesting: a magazine titled “Local History” will share stories of the most famous carols and holiday songs, along with presenting a “Christmas Carol Book” featuring 30 carols and holiday songs from various regions of Ukraine.
The main purpose of the charity carol event is to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Through donations, the organizers plan to raise 200,000 hryvnias for a vehicle for the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after King Danylo. So, you not only enjoy a wonderful time but also contribute to a good cause and move closer to Victory 🙂
